Three Ice Hawk Alums go pro-
Three former Ice Hawks have recently signed contracts to play professional hockey. Two former Ice Hawks have signed contracts to play professional hockey in the ECHL.
Forwards Carl Bresser, who played with the Ice Hawks in 2002-03, was signed by the Gwinnett Gladiators while Travis Van Dyn Hoven, who played two seasons (2002-04) and was the captain of the 2003-04 team that advanced to the semifinals of the USA Hockey National Championships, inked with the Wheeling Nailers. Both players attended Marian College following their tenures with the Ice Hawks.
Forward Mike Christensen who spent three seasons in Rochester 2003-06 signed with the Brooklyn Aces of the Eastern Professional Hockey League. Christensen attended St. Mary’s University in Winona. He led the Ice Hawks to three trips to the National Tournament.
