 Nick Fatis-----Head Coach/Asst. G.M. Minimize

Nick is beginning his ninth season as the Ice Hawks’ head coach and his twelfth year of coaching at the junior level. He has led the Ice Hawks to four successive MJHL and Bush Cup Championships and five successive National Tournament Appearances.  In the 2005-06 season he and Co-Head Coach were recognized as MJHL's Coach of the Year.  He holds a Level 4  Coaching Certificate with USA Hockey.

 

Nick began his junior coaching career as an Ice Hawk assistant in 1997. He previously served as head coach of the Las Vegas Flames (Midget) and as the arena supervisor at the Santa Fe Ice Arena, Las Vegas, NV. Nick played junior hockey in the Western States Hockey League, the Minnesota Junior Hockey League and had a brief stint with the semi-pro Las Vegas Aces. Nick is committed to player development and to preparing his players for college hockey.  Nick and his wife Nicky live in Rochester with their daughter Colette (6), son Alex (4) and baby son Evan.

 Corey Dubois-----Assistant Coach Minimize

Corey is in the third year of his second stint as an Assistant Coach with the Ice Hawks.  He previously served with the Ice Hawks prior to their move to Rochester.   He has previously coached at the youth, high school as well as the junior levels. Corey has earned a Level 4  Coaching Certificate with USA Hockey.

 

Corey played his High School hockey in Red Wing, MN, helping the Wingers to 2 straight State Tournament appearances with 4th and 2nd place finishes respectively.  After High School, he played 2 seasons with the Ice Hawks and served as a team captain his 2nd year.  Corey moved on to high school coaching at Mankato East High School for a year.   He is pleased to be with the Ice Hawks and is committed to player development and promotion.  Away from the rink, Corey is a Banker with Wells Fargo in Rochester.  Corey lives in Rochester with his wife Mandy, Ethan and baby Nolan.

 Bob Montrose-----Assistant Coach Minimize

Bob is in his second season with  Ice Hawks as an Assistant Coach.  He is a graduate of U.WI-River Falls with a degree in Business Administration.  Bob holds a Level 4 USA Hockey Coaching Certificate has an extensive hockey background.  He has played on a college national champion, coached & played professionally in Australia and played & coached in the MJHL.  Addionally, he has coached high school hockey for eight seasons and has served as a scout for the Bakersfield Condors ECHL.  Bob is currently the arena manager at Graham Arena (Rochester) and the owner/director of Peak Performance

 Eric Hofmann---Asst. Coach & Dir. of Strength & Conditioning Minimize

This is Eric’s 1st season as the Ice Hawks Strength & Conditioning Coach.  In 2009 Hofmann received his B.A. from Winona State University and in 2005 received his personal training certifications from International Sports Science Association & American Council of Exercise.  Eric holds a Level 3 USA hockey coaching certification and has coaching experience with the Winona Youth Hockey Association, as Speed Coach for Winona Senior High Boys Hockey team, and as Camp Director/Trainer for Peak Performance Hockey Camps.


Eric developed his training business ‘Performance Training’.  His firm serves youth through professional athletes and focuses on speed and explosiveness.  ‘Performance Training’ is also available through its online personal training venue on the website www.goperformance1.com  
Hofmann resides in Winona, MN with his Pit bull Lacy.

 Justin Bowder---Equipment Manager Minimize

Justin has been in hockey his whole life. His family is originally from the hockey hotbed of Northern Minnesota's Iron Range.  He is a native of Mankato, MN where he grew up playing in the Mankato Youth Hockey Association.  Justin has served with the Ice Hawks in a variety of capacities since 1999.  He is responsible for handling all equipment and preparing the players to participate in games.  He and Coach Nick have been close friends for well over 20 years and even played along side one another for a season or two of youth hockey.  Away from the rink, Justin is a resident of Rochester where he is employed by I.B.M. and Midwestern Custom Concepts Automotive.
