Ice Hawks Doubled Up at La Crosse

La CROSSE, Wis. — Jake Beal and Austyn Renn scored twice each but it wasn’t enough for the Rochester Ice Hawks in an 8-4 North American 3 Hockey League loss to La Crosse on Friday.

The score was tied 1-1 after one, but the Freeze scored three times in the second period and four in the third to pull away.

Alec Seeger had two goals for the Freeze, while former La Crescent standout Laudon Poellinger had one.

Tait Carlson made 36 saves in the loss for Rochester, which was outshot 44-30.

The Ice Hawks are off until next Friday, when they play at Wausau.
