Post Bulletin November 6th, 2017

OREGON, Wis. — The Rochester Ice Hawks trailed just 1-0 after one period, but the Wisconsin Whalers put in three unanswered goals in the second and went on to win 8-1 in a North American 3 Hockey League game Friday night.

The Ice Hawks’ Skylar Watt scored at 2:05 of the third period to cut Wisconsin’s lead to 4-1 but the Whalers scored 49 seconds later to make it 5-1, then added three more goals in the final eight minutes to account for the 8-1 final.

The Whalers — who entered the game 0-12 for the season — peppered Rochester goalie Luke Murphy with 60 shots, and their goalie Alex Hufford stopped 33 of the 34 shots on goal the Ice Hawks had.
