The North Iowa Bulls won the Central  Division with  a 36-10-1 record.  The reigning NA3HL Champions and the Ice Hawks play a’ best of three’1st round playoff series..  The National Champs are led by Head Coach Todd Sanden.  The Bulls are once again among the top teams in the NA3HL.  Despite several one goal games, the Bulls have swept the regular season series against the Ice Hawks.

This season the Bulls include a former Rochester HS goalie Randy Meyers on their squad. Ice Hawks Welcome Tony Brogan to their Hockey Staff
The Ice Hawks are pleased to announce the addition of Tony Brogan as a Midwest scout.  Tony is an original Ice Hawk:  He played for the inaugural Ice Hawks team in 1996-97 while the team was located in  LeSueur, MN.  Tony currently lives in the Chicago area where he coaches at the high school, midget and club levels.   He is a also a Level 4 USA Hockey coach.  After leaving the Ice Hawks in 1997, Tony played college hockey and has coached at the youth and high school levels for the past 17 seasons.  He is on the coaching staff of the  Glenbard High School team which will play in the   Illinois state final on March 17th.  In his coaching tenure, Tony has coached players who have gone on to play in the NHL, NCAA  D-I, and in the USHL.  Away from hockey, Tony  owns a landscape business and is married with a 13 year old son and 9 year old daughter who both  play hockey.   Tony’s first Ice Hawks assignment will find him at the NAHL Future Prospects Combine in Romeoville, March 31-April 2. Player  News-
Ethan Sievek  will miss the Friday game vs the Bulls due to a league imposed suspension in the final regular season game vs. Wisconsin Whalers.

Zach Curry is out for the season with a lower body injury.  There was some hope that he might return for the playoffs.  However, it is unlikely that he will be ready for this weekend.

No new injuries were reported from the Wisconsin series.
