Luke Corey
Luke Corey
EXOS Performance Nutritionist / BAH / BSCAHN / RD of Canada

Luke is a Registered Dietitian and Performance Nutritionist with EXOS at Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine Center in Rochester, Minnesota. Prior to joining EXOS in 2014, Luke operated a successful private nutrition practice in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada for four years where he specialized in sports nutrition, weight management and general wellness. He has written articles for various magazines and newspapers, appeared on television and radio, and teamed up with other health professionals and organizations to develop and launch initiatives targeted at improving the health and well-being of the general population. Luke received degrees at Queen’s University in Ontario, Canada, and Mount Saint Vincent University in Nova Scotia, Canada. He was Captain of the Varsity Soccer Team at Queen’s, and continued his soccer career as Head Coach of the Men’s Varsity Soccer Team at the Mount for seven successful seasons.

Karl Erickson
Coordinator – Performance Services / Performance Outreach Supervisor / BSC / CSCS / PES / USAW-1 / FMSC-2

Karl is a Performance Services Coordinator and manages the performance outreach program offered by Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine to high schools in Rochester and surrounding communities. Karl is a native of Rochester, MN and a Century High School graduate. With an interest in Human Performance, Karl continued his academic and athletic pursuits at the University of Minnesota where he studied Kinesiology and competed for the Golden Gopher Track and Field team. Karl was highly decorated as a five-time Big Ten Champion and a seven-time track and field NCAA All-American. He also competed in the Olympic trials during the 2004 and 2008 years. Following his collegiate career He became a resident athlete at the US Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, CA. Prior to working for Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine, Karl served as the Director of Sports Performance at 1st Athlete, a sports performance facility located in Edina, MN. During his time with 1st Athlete he worked to develop youth athletes and enhance the athletic performance of high school, collegiate, and professional athletes.

Jennifer Noiles

Jennifer is a Performance Specialist. As the EXOS Director of Performance at Mayo Clinic, she oversees EXOS performance at the Sports Medicine Center’s in Rochester and Minneapolis, Minnesota. As the EXOS Director of Performance at Mayo Clinic, she oversees EXOS performance at Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine in Rochester and Mayo Clinic Square in Minneapolis.  Jennifer studied at Queen’s University in Ontario, Canada, where she rowed competitively on the Women’s Varsity Lightweight Team. Jennifer has always had a passion for human performance.  She began her career with EXOS in 2006 at the Andrew’s Institute in Pensacola Florida, and since then has contributed to all EXOS facilities in the United States. In 2010, Jennifer was named Performance Manager of the EXOS Texas facility, and added the role of Manager of Internal Education in 2012 at the EXOS facility in Los Angeles, California. Throughout her career, Jennifer has had the great opportunity to work with a wide variety of athletes: professional, tactical, youth, and corporate. She has been instrumental in the development of the partnership with Mayo Clinic and is very excited about the opportunities that lie ahead.

Eric Pohl
EXOS Performance Specialist / M.Ed. / CSCS / USAW / SFG

Eric is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach and a Performance Specialist with EXOS at the Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine Center in Rochester, Minnesota. Prior to joining the EXOS team in 2016, Eric had the great opportunity to work with a wide range of athletes during his time with Mercy Hospital training youth, high school, and adult athletes, Mercer University and the University of Louisville, and with the Detroit Tigers Baseball Organization. Eric received his Bachelors of Exercise Science from Indiana State University in 2007 and his Master’s Degree in Education from Mercy University in 2011. Eric is a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served a tour of duty in Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2005-2006.

Shawn Vinz

Hockey Lead & Coordinator – Performance Services BA / CSCS / FMSC

Shawn is the Hockey Lead and a Performance Specialist at Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine.  He is a native of Rochester, MN who attended Shattuck St. Mary’s, where he won a Tier I National Championship, and went on to play in the USHL for both the Rochester Mustangs and Cedar Rapids Roughriders, the NCAA for the University of New Hampshire Wildcats D1 Men’s Hockey team, playing in the Hockey East Championship and NCAA Tournament for four consecutive seasons, and in the ECHL for the Charlotte Checkers.  After hockey, Shawn turned his attention to training athletes and overseas all aspect of the Hockey Program for Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine.  Shawn has worked with and trained all levels of athletes, from youth to professional, focusing on developing the athlete both on and off the ice.
