During the second, Roach answered for the Ice Hawks with a goal at 0:25 with an assist from his linemate Renn. Curry quickly followed with a goal at 0:55 with helpers from his linemates, Watt and Rooney. Shupert scored a goal at 3:44 with assists from his linemates, Curry and Rooney. Hoffman put in a goal at 9:57 with a helper from Moots. Beal deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 18:31.
In the third, Hoffman netted a goal at 4:15 with an assist from fellow Ice Hawks forward Rooney. Langworthy quickly followed with a goal at 4:20. Moots quickly followed with a goal at 5:37 with helpers from Shupert and Westphal. Hoyt answered for Breezy Point with a goal at 16:38 with an assist from his linemate Langworthy. Fladebo quickly followed with a goal at 17:20. Renn quickly followed with a goal at 19:00.
Rochester’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Schenkenberg’s big night as he stopped 38 of the 43 shots he faced. On the other hand, Schenkenberg’s counterpart, Hershey, and the North Stars’ defense had some trouble stopping only 7 of 10 shots.
This win brings the Rochester Ice Hawks’ record to (4-4-0-0).
