The Ice Hawks fall to the Whalers 5-3

Bailey Schmitz came up big, stopping 42 of 47 shots throughout the game. The Wisconsin Whalers took the lead early in the third on a goal from Connor Boscaccy.

Skylar Watt contributed with 2 goals and Colby Decarlo had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 3 assists. Austin Lewis delivered for his team with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists) and Nate Kuta chipped in with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists).

In the first, Watt opened the scoring for Rochester with a goal at 9:15 with a helper from his teammate Decarlo. Watt netted a goal at 15:38 with a helper from his linemate Decarlo.

During the second period, Grobstick finally put Wisconsin on the board with a goal at 4:11 with assists from his linemates, Lewis and Boscaccy. Lewis deposited a goal at 7:22 with helpers from Boscaccy and Kuta.

In the third, Kuta scored a goal at 1:05 with assists from Boscaccy and Lewis. Boscaccy netted what turned out to be the game winning goal at 4:31 with helpers from Kuta and Faulkner. Resch put in a goal at 13:36 with an assist from fellow Whalers forward Richards. Bill quickly followed with a goal at 14:12 with helpers from his linemates, Shupert and Decarlo.
