The Ice Hawks recorded a shutout against the Freeze 12-0 in home game

The Rochester Ice Hawks struggled against the La Crosse Freeze allowing Clayton Lackey to score a hat trick as Rochester crushed La Crosse 12-0 in a home game at Rochester Recreation Center in Rochester. What's more, Devin Naidow posted a shutout, stopping all 16 of the Ice Hawks shots throughout the game. The La Crosse Freeze took the lead early in the first on a goal from Clayton Lackey and never looked back.

Marcus Tilmon contributed with 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist) and Brandon Ratzloff did his part, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the first, Lackey opened the scoring for the Freeze with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 0:51 with helpers from Lindauer and Losen. Ratzloff put in a goal at 5:46 with a helper from defenseman Caplis. Fondadouze quickly followed with a goal at 5:57 with assists from his linemates, Garman and Tilmon. During the second period, Caplis put in a goal at 4:45 with helpers from Lindauer and Lackey. De Schepper quickly followed with a goal at 5:43 with assists from Losen and Lackey. Nuutinen scored a goal at 15:01 with helpers from Mccomb and Losen.

During the third, Lackey put in a goal at 1:50 with an assist from defenseman Marquardt. Mccomb deposited a goal at 5:18 with helpers from his linemates, Nuutinen and Zukowski. Tilmon netted a goal at 9:31 with an assist from Seeger. Lackey scored a goal at 19:39 with helpers from Francois and Caplis.
