The Ice Hawks struggled against the WarHawks 6-1 in home game

The Rochester Ice Hawks' defense had a poor night, allowing the Willmar WarHawks 28 shots throughout the game. The Willmar WarHawks took the lead late in the first on a goal from Keegan Bauman and never looked back.

Braden Shea did his part, adding 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist) and Peyton Bolstad contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

During the first, Cooper opened the scoring for Willmar with a goal at 4:28 with helpers from his linemates, Slagter and Berkowitz. Bauman put in what turned out to be the game winning goal at 15:41 with helpers from teammates Takashima and Martin. Shea quickly followed with a goal at 17:28 with assists from his linemates, Oelkers and Bolstad.

In the second period, Shea scored a goal at 2:10 with assists from Toll and Oelkers. Oelkers quickly followed with a goal at 3:18 with helpers from his linemates, Martin and Fry. Rooney finally put Rochester on the board with a goal at 8:40 with a helper from fellow Ice Hawks forward Renn. Bolstad answered for the WarHawks with a goal at 11:46 with assists from his linemates, Shea and Oelkers.

This loss brings the Rochester Ice Hawks’ record to (1-3-0-0).
