The Ice Hawks struggled against the Whalers 8-1 in home game

The Rochester Ice Hawks struggled against the Wisconsin Whalers allowing Carter Grobstick to score a hat trick as Rochester crushed Wisconsin 8-1 in a home game at Oregon Ice Arena in Rochester. In addition, Rochester's defense had a poor night, allowing the Whalers 34 shots throughout the game. The Wisconsin Whalers took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from John Vandervalk.
