Once again, the Rochester Ice Hawks skated with their opponent through two periods Saturday night at Graham Arena.
That's been a recurring theme for this young team. In four games this season, the Ice Hawks have never trailed by more than two goals entering the final frame. But in all four games, the third period has been a struggle for Rochester.
The Ice Hawks took a 3-2 lead just seconds into the final period of Saturday's North American Tier 3 Hockey League game against the Breezy Point North Stars. But the wheels fell off late in the third, and Breezy Point scored four unanswered goals for a 6-3 victory.
Rochester dropped to 0-4. The Ice Hawks are tied with Chicago in the Central Division standings with zero points. Those two teams meet for a three-game set in Chicago starting Friday night.
